Ashley is a Registered Social Worker and mother of two, living in Northwestern Ontario. With over ten years of experience in child and youth mental health, she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work with children, youth, and families.

She holds an Honours Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from Laurentian University and is currently completing her Master of Social Work with Dalhousie University! Ashley has pursued extensive professional development throughout her career, completing advanced trainings in areas such as trauma-informed practice, suicide prevention, emotion regulation, and attachment-based parenting.

Her approach is relational and collaborative, drawing on attachment- and play-based work, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness strategies, while always centering parents as the experts on their children. Ashley believes that parenting is a journey full of ups and downs, and she walks alongside families to strengthen bonds, ease anxiety, and make sense of big emotions.

You can often find her validating the everyday stresses of parenting, sitting with a child sorting through big feelings, or simply offering a safe, compassionate space for families to pause, understand one another, and reconnect.

CURRENTLY WAITLISTING - I am currently at capacity and accepting new clients on a waitlist basis.

If you proceed with booking, your appointment request may be placed on a waitlist or adjusted. I will follow up with you directly to confirm next steps. Please note: Placement on the waitlist does not constitute the establishment of a therapeutic relationship. A therapeutic relationship is only established following completion of an initial session and informed consent process.

For Ericka, therapy is less about fixing and more about walking alongside, honouring the strength it takes to face difficult truths while also welcoming laughter, creativity, and moments of lightness as part of the healing journey.

Ericka is a proud Red River Métis woman, born and raised in Northwestern Ontario. With over seven years of experience in the helping field, spanning school systems, child welfare, Indigenous communities, private practice, and consulting, she brings a warm, curious, and steady presence to her work with children, youth, families, and communities.

Her practice is guided by a trauma-informed lens and a deep belief in the capacity for healing. With a constant eye on nervous system regulation, she supports clients in understanding how stress and lived experiences shape their inner world and relationships. Ericka blends therapeutic play, relational work, and strengths-based strategies to foster spaces where healing can feel both safe and courageous.
